In the early days of the pandemic, many people assumed that having the coronavirus meant they were no longer at risk for a relapse. There are even talk about “immunities” – those who have recovered and gone back to their lives while the rest of us are locked up at home.
But as the latest wave has shown, reinfection has become more common. Now, many people are reporting their second or even third pandemic infection, even after receiving booster shots.
