Hardcover Book of Elden Ring of Knowledge is open for pre-orders
Episode II has an exclusive interview with Miyazaki
Elden Ring will receive a pair of official physics manuals later this year from Future Press, and by the time you get your hands on them, you’ve probably forgotten enough to actually need them again. Joke! Somethings like that. I feel like this has to be the most wiki’d game of 2022, right?
Future Press is planning to release”Biggest project yet?“- two hardcover volumes called Elden Ring’s Book of Knowledge – and they’ll cost $49.99 each. Episode I will premiere this summer and Episode II will premiere in the fall.
In terms of content analysis, these are meant to be complete, accurate resource books for everything Elden RingLots of stats, pictures and insights.
Contents inside each manual
For volume Ithat means “in-depth explanations and data for all game elements and mechanics”, “ultra-detailed maps” for world and dungeon maps, and NPC guides “with every branch and the possibility of being fully explained.” For Volume IIFuture Press is focusing on fighting for everyone Elden Ring gameplay, creatures, weapons, spells and armor, as well as an “exclusive interview” with director Hidetaka Miyazaki.
The Elden Ring’s Book of Knowledge Pre-ordered on Amazon here and here.
A word of warning from Future Press: “Due to ongoing global production and logistics difficulties, we encourage people to pre-order their copy early to avoid disappointment later on.” Officially, the release dates are “late summer” and “fall,” but Amazon only has July 29 for the first book and September 30 for the second.
It’s fun to obsess over every little detail of a game – that’s true soul in general, and it certainly holds true for Elden Ring – so even if these guides arrive “late”, they will still have a devoted audience, especially if they turn out as well as they sound. I will say, the cover photo, featuring Ranni and Queen Marika, looks pretty polished.
There’s something special about cracking into a solid book about a game you really resonate withso here’s hoping this two-tier device lives up to expectations.
