This article by the WSJ is, in my opinion, a scam.
Wall Street Journal author Katherine Blunt didn’t mention disgusting cost of batteriesimplied instead that the slow pace of battery backup installation was due to inflation and supply chain issues.
The Wall Street Journal article also describes solar and wind power as the “cheapest form of electricity generation,” disregarding this claim by adding in the cost of the electrical storage capacity required to make electricity. For renewable energy to become reliable, the cost of renewable energy is too great to need to be charged. batteries during favorable times and maintain power supply during normal times, and the cost of upgrading and maintaining an extended power distribution network, to transport renewable energy from permanent renewable generation sources remote to cities and industrial complexes where energy is needed.
Once you factor in these specific renewable costs, renewables are really expensive.
