Google Play will start showing the Data Safety section with the same Security Labels as Apple’s App Store from Wednesday

On Tuesday, Google announced the release of a Data Safety section in Google Play, which will allow users to view information about how apps collect, share, and secure their data. The move, first announced last May, is similar to how Apple introduced privacy nutrition labels in 2020. Google says the Data Safety section will give users “greater visibility into how apps collect, share, and secure their data” on their Android devices.

Information that developers may display in the Data Safety section, according to Google:
