The 10-year-old son of Harlan’s Holiday, born and bred at WinStar Farm in Central Kentucky and then placed in stud there in 2019, has been on a four-season trip to Chile in 2019-21 and 2023. Four of his graded winners to date have been bred in Chile, including Group 1 winner Yahshua; group 1 won the prize, group 3 won the prize Good Input; group 2 winner Good sea; and, group 3 winner Horco MolleGood Samaritan’s South American-bred running horses have earned nearly $925,000 to date.
Good Samaritan was run by WinStar, China Horse Club International, SF Racing and Head of Plains Partners. He won graded races every year when racing 2 through 4, winning the 2016 Summer Stakes (G2T), the 2017 Jim Dandy Stakes (G2) and the 2018 New Orleans Handicap (G2). He was runner-up in the 2017 Clark Handicap (G1) and third in the 2016 Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Turf (G1T). He compiled a 4-3-2 record in 15 starts and earned $1,309,450.
