Bred by Brereton Jones, Wish You Well was consigned by Wavertree Stables for The Gulfstream Sale, Fasig-Tipton’s Florida Select Sale 2-year-old in training, where she sold to Black Type and RA Hill for $550,000 la.
Her stallion was 11th on the second stallion list, and she was not a Charlie Indian mare. Hear Libby, who is also the dam of 3rd grade winner Chanteline and stake winner Kell Paso. Pioneerof the Nile colt, coached by Bill Mott, finished seventh in his March 5 debut on the same track and distance.
Ridden by Gaffalione, Mendenhall posted fractions of: 23.30, :46.30 and 1:10.46 on six feathers and then finished in a final time of 1:23.50 on a track fast.
Bred by Aaron and Marie Jones, Mendenhall is not the Mamma Kimbo mare who won a Level 2 Discreet Cat. OXO Equine paid $675,000 for the pony at last year’s Sales Show last September in Keeneland, where he was consigned by the Taylor Made Sales Agency.
Oaklawn Park
It took five tries but September Ranch, Union Park, Black Fern, and Michael and Tammy Motley’s Western River went to the winner’s circle on Saturday at Oaklawn Park. The Tapit colt worked out from the start to score in the 3 3/4 1/16 mile maiden test for 3-year-olds.
Western River breaks its maidenhood at Oaklawn Park
Western River, bred by Mt. Brilliant Broodmares and Tapit Syndicate, full brothers of the Arkansas Derby (G1) and Belmont Stakes presented by NYRA Bets (G1) winners and Japanese stallions Creator .
Coached by Rudolphe Brisset, Western River started its first three times at the age of 2 at Ellis . Park, where he finished the chessboard twice and was second on grass in his last attempt there in September. The foal returned to the track at Oaklawn on February 26, finishing third on the same track and distance as Saturday’s race.
Ricardo Santana Jr guided Western River from ninth and last in his winning attempt. The foal rose to fifth as the six feathers pulled away in 1:11.72 and then continued to regroup across the stretch, pulling away from the ropes to win 1:43.59 en route fast racing.
Aqueduct race track
Juddmonte International, Winchell Thoroughbreds and Bridlewood Farm have teamed up to buy Principe d’Oro for $650,000 from a Stone Farm shipment at Keeneland September Yearling Sale. The Medaglia d’Oro colt won for the second time on Saturday by 3 3/4 length at Aqueduct race track.

Coached by Todd Pletcher, Principe d’Oro recovered from his January 15 debut at Gulfstream Park, where he finished ninth in the one-mile turf test.
Made by Kendrick Carmouche, Principe d’Oro cleaned the dirt, led from gate to wire, and established fractions of: 23.73, :47.33 and 1:12.35 before completing the mile. in 1:37.07 on the fast track.
Bred by B. Flay Thoroughbreds, Principe d’Oro is the second of a series of mares to win the Dame Dorothy First Class (by Dame Dorothy). Bernardini ), its first pony was graded as a winner Spice is Nice . Dame Dorothy is also the dam of an untrained 2-year-old Uncle Mo pony named Sgt. Pepper, who was acquired by Robert and Lawana Low for $1,600,000 at The Saratoga Sale, Fasig-Tipton’s most-selected 2021 sale.
