There is a new update about Ghost of Tsushima sales. During the CES 2022 showcase, Sony confirmed that it had sold eight million copies. The game originally launched on PS4 in July 2020.
This is the first time Ghost of Tsushima Sales update for almost a year. Back in November 2020, Sony confirmed it passed five million copies shipped in the first four months of being on the market. Then when The movie adaptation has been announced in March 2021, Sony confirmed they had passed the six and a half million mark.
As of that March 2021 announcement, another version of Ghost of Tsushima appeared. Sucker Punch released the Director’s Cut. This includes the expansion of Iki Island. It involves a whole new storyline to complement the original. Ankhsar “Eagle” Khatun and her tribe took over the island. When facing her, Jin Sakai must face a whole new challenge and learn more about his own past.
Since its launch, Ghost of Tsushima won many awards and titles. It was earned The biggest prize of Japan Game Awards 2021 with Monster Hunter Rise. It also picks up two CEDEC 2021 awards for audio and visual art.
