“I think Copenhagen Fashion Week has become very famous due to the quality of the Danish brands. Who is your target Gestuz customer?
“For me, it’s not about a certain audience or age group. For me, it’s about attitude and how you personalize our style to suit you. I love seeing different people in Gestuz and whether they’re 17 or 57 doesn’t matter. My goal is to create clothes that people feel empowered and can wear for many seasons. For example, I’m absolutely in awe of all the street style I’ve seen of people wearing Gestuz during Copenhagen Fashion Week.”
What do you think makes the Scandi style different?
“There’s an ease and sophistication that easily embodies the Scandinavian aesthetic. It’s the subtlety of not spending a lot of time on your look or your home when in fact you have (the secret of yours). The style is calm and clean, but I feel like we’ve become bolder in our interior and fashion sectors in the aftermath of the pandemic and the general fashion industry movement.
