Genshin Impact Spices from the West are fun, but short on time

In spite of The Genshin effect in update limbo, the Spices from the West event is happening in the game. Like Of Drink A-Dreaming from March 2022, this is a more relaxed activity. You play a small game involving food. You get rewards for preparing dishes. You can interact with the characters you own after you have finished preparing the meal. It is usually well handled. But while it was fun and rewarding, it felt like it should have been held back.

For those who haven’t started playing yet The Genshin effect Spices from the West, here’s how it works. if you meet all requirements To join you can talk to Nazafarin from Sumeru in Liyue Harbour. The character is at the first station to the left as you enter town. After a short chat, you unlock the ability to craft spices from the event menu. From May 14 to 20, 2022, seven seasons are unlockable.

Each type consists of three components. Once you start preparing them, you’ll need to hit the action button on the bar below the item in the exact order listed before the seven ladles run out at the bottom of the screen. They mark down when you touch the tip of the gauge or make incorrect selections. If you fail, don’t worry. You only use your components when you are successful. It gradually became more difficult. The first seasoning requires only one horsetail, one mint, and one pepper. But in seasoning four, you’re using two mints, two conifers, and a purple clover. It also means you can’t leisurely wait and add only one ingredient per pass. You have to be observant and add at least twice each run. It’s not overly taxing, but gives a sense of accomplishment when done right.

While a welcome new event during the 2.7 Genshin Impact and Spices from the West update delay was fine, it came at a bad time.

Adding spices to dishes is also very interesting. 20 different delicacies can be turned into Aromatic dishes. You only need one seasoning to do so. (Plus, all of the seasonings come together once you’ve made them, so you don’t have to worry about extras. Two of the easiest Flavors to make are the Spicy Mint Salad and the Stir-Fried Tenderloin. Spicy. You only need one Jueyun and four Mints for a salad. Stir-fried tenderloin requires only one Jueyun pepper and a piece of raw meat (Qince Stir Fry is also pretty easy, as you only need one cabbage and one fruit.) Jueyun peppers, two lotus roots and three mushrooms.) Everyone has a reaction to them, even if it’s bad, it will work.

From what I’ve seen, some characters seem to be more enthusiastic about Fragrant Food in time The Genshin effect Spices from the Western event. Yunjin tends to be satisfied with whatever I feed her. Same goes for Thomas. Others seem a bit noisier. Hu Tao doesn’t seem to be a fan of my efforts. But even so, the dialogue is amusing. Not to mention that aside from a few characters in my Serenitea Pot, the Companion level of my current guests has maxed out. My sample size is, well, quite small, due to being limited to people I know to play with and myself.

That’s why Spices from the West feel like a bust. Yeah, we’re getting a decent amount of Primogem for free, a good amount of Mora, and some extra weapon booster materials, so we don’t need to do about five or six domains for them. But it seems that much of this event is tied to the characters’ reactions. As the Serenitea Pot maintenance started March 30, 2022. Even though we receive 5,000 Realm Currency weekly and can still visit for crafts, gardening and shopping, we do. environment cannot be changed. Meaning there is no diversity for those with already booked visitors.

Genshin Impact Spices from the West are fun, but short on time

Worse still, if someone starts playing or unlocking the Serenitea Pot after 2.6, they don’t even have someone to feed. In turn, this could mean missing out on some rewards. Primogems, Mora and free experience books are all associated with the preparation of spices. If you complete each recipe three times, you complete an objective and get a bonus attached to them. Mystical enhancing ores and weapon enhancing materials associated with feeding the person. If you don’t get the NPC you placed in your Serenitea Pot to taste the food seven, fourteen, and twenty-one times, you’ll miss those bonuses.

The Genshin effect Spices from the West are also okay. I appreciate the additional Primogems and Mora. Especially since I’m spending a lot of time improving artifacts and need more money. But it seemed like a bad timing and set to fail. Character reactions can be a lot of fun! But people can’t get the most out of them and experiment, due to Serenitea Pot maintenance. It’s great to have a reason to log in every day during a lull like this! But it’s also a quick turnaround that not everyone can take advantage of. Looks like something would be better if it came back at a later date.

The Genshin effect available for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, PC and mobile devices. A Nintendo Switch port is in development. No release date for 2.7 update yet?. The Spices from the West event will be available in The Genshin effect until June 7, 2022.
