The 2025 Geely Emgrand has been submitted by the automaker to China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), and the updated sedan is expected to go on sale later this month. Chinese auto news.
Exterior changes of Emgrand 2025 are very few and can still be recognized as a twin with Proton S70where the updated Geely gets a chrome waterfall grille at the front, L-shaped LED daytime running lights, along with revised headlights.

According to Chinese MIIT records, the 2025 Emgrand will be offered with a total of five alloy wheel designs in diameter sizes of 15, 16 and 17 inches.
The dimensions revealed in the MIIT filing match those of the Emgrand before the facelift, remaining at 4,638 mm long, 1,820 mm wide and 1,406 mm tall with a 2,650 mm wheelbase. Optional equipment revealed in the MIIT filing includes cameras, radar, sunroof, etc
The powertrain for the updated Emgrand will continue to be a naturally aspirated gasoline engine, 4-cylinder in-line, 1.5 liter capacity, 127 horsepower; The pre-facelift Emgrand paired this engine with a 5-speed manual transmission or CVT, as in Philippine market model. As such, this differs from the Proton S70’s specification which is a 1.5-litre turbocharged three-cylinder petrol engine mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
The 2025 Emgrand’s interior has not yet been depicted in this MIIT filing, although the revised Geely sedan’s cabin is expected to feature similar updates, as is the car’s exterior. Compared to the current Emgrand, the Proton S70 has a significantly more premium cabin.
As for the current version of the Geely Emgrand, the sedan is priced between 69,900 yuan (RM45k) and 129,800 yuan (RM84k) in China.
