Freeze-Up Has Begun – Growing With That?

While it may take up to the end of the month for all bears west and south of Hudson Bay (except pregnant females) to return to the ice, freezing has finally begun in earnest and today. Now some bears have come out keep feeding before winter begins. This is 3.5 weeks later than last year when WH bears were first discovered killed a seal on October 31.
Compare to two days ago, there is now much ice along the west coast of Hudson Bay, both north and south:
