Former ‘9-1-1’ star Rockmond Dunbar sues Disney for racism over vaccines
Rockmond Dunbar filed a federal lawsuit against Disney and 20th Television after he was fired from the 9-1-1 show.
He said they were racist against him for not accepting his request for religious and medical exemptions from their COVID vaccination mandate.
“The administrators work for [the studios] Dunbar’s requests for accommodation were never taken seriously… The defendants refused to believe Dr. Dunbar’s offer and they refused to engage Mr. Dunbar in any meaningful interaction related to it. to his religious beliefs,” the lawsuit states.
He said that the studio even leaked information “deliberately exaggerating” as if he were an anti-vaxxer.
“To ensure a safe working environment during our production, we have implemented a mandatory vaccination validation process,” 20th Century said.
“While we will not comment on any individual, each waiver request is scrutinized and we provide conditions consistent with our legal obligations. differences in our processes or decision-making based on an employee’s race.”
