Forbidden Kingdom headlines Fasig-Tipton’s May digital sale
Fasig-Tipton’s May Digital Sale ended May 14 with 75 horses selling for $3,252,100. This category includes 2-year-olds, racing-age horses, breeding stock and yearlings.
Selling toppers Forbidden Kingdom (Hip 21), offered as a racing/stallion prospect, sold for $310,000 to Legacy Ranch from consignment by Taylor Made Sales Agency, agent for MyRacehorse and Spending Ranch. At 3 years old, the son of American Pharaoh won the San Vicente (G2) and San Felipe (G2) stakes and finished second in the Malibu Stakes (G1) on the field at Santa Anita Park.
At age 4, he successfully switched to turf, winning the Joe Hernandez Stakes (G2) at Santa Anita in December. To date, Forbidden Kingdom has a track record of four wins, three seconds and two fractions. three in 13 career starts and earnings of $680,000.

- sounds like that (Hip 6), a young mare Prince Cairo , sold for $250,000 to Machmer Hall from the lot of River Oak Farm, agents of Forever Spring Farm et al. A winner on the track, Such Sounds was bred to Structure in 2025 for her first foal.
- Man among men (Hip 29), a racing/stallion prospect, sold for $220,000 to Howell Wynne from consignment by Taylor Made Sales Agency, agent for MyRacehorse and spending farm. The son of War front entered the auction with a win in allowance company over one mile at Santa Anita on May 5, in which he scored a career-best 91 Beyer and a career-best Ragozin of 11.
- Paper rings (Hip 1), a young mare of Uncle Mo , sold for $170,000 to Mike Akers from the lot of agent Bluewater Sales. The 3rd grade non-racing mare has won multiple bets Charming lady was provided in foal to Forte .
Such sounds disrupted her girlhood at Keeneland
“It was another strong sale across the board,” said Leif Aaron, director of digital sales at Fasig-Tipton. “Compared to last year’s May sale, we doubled the number of offerings, more than doubled total sales, and saw a sharp increase in average prices. I’m very pleased with the results.”
Overall, 75 horses sold for $3,252,100, for an average of $43,361 (up 7.6% over 2023). The number of registered contractors is 689. The clearance rate is 75%.
