For $3,500, can this 2007 BMW 328Xi hit the spot?

Nice price or without dice BMW 328Xi 2007

Today’s Seller Nice price or no dice BMW car 328Xi claims to have planned to turn it into an M3, but then bought a real M3. Let’s see if their interests are also ours receive.

According to current statistics, about 41 percent of Americans are obese. By comparison, China’s obesity rate hovers somewhere around 4 to 5 percent. I don’t like to judge people for their eating and exercise habits, but the stats explain why swanky vehicles like SUVs are so popular these days.

It might also explain why, at $15,900, yesterday big and in charge Cadillac Eldorado 1972 lighter so appealed. Not only does it have room for even the most stretched belts, but its generous exterior proportions can give passengers a much more pleasing juxtaposition than any small car. more than that. That ended up giving Caddy a 58% Good Price win.

Hey, do you like cover bands? They’re not originals, but, damn, they definitely sound like them. After all, how much originality do you really need in your life?

I ask that because today 2007 BMW 328Xi Not all original. And I think that’s a good thing. You see, while the car has traveled over 200,000 miles on the chassis (and with AWD, it’s an absolutely perfect chassis), there are still only one a little over 100,000 miles on the engine, a six-speed ZF automatic transmission and a torque converter box. Those key parts were replaced on the car just this past summer. The seller even included some creepy photos in the ad of the middle work.

According to that seller, the original car will be more reworked to give it an M3-like appearance. That would require a bit more than badges and wheels as the only things the E92 M3 really shares with its smaller coupe brethren are doors, lights, and glass. However, that M3’s metamorphosis is a point of contention, as the seller claims to have purchased an actual M3 saving them the work of making a fake.

That caused this car to be grabbed by the new owner. Besides (or perhaps thanks to) all the major transplant surgeries the car has undergone, there’s a little bit of appeal to do it. The engine is BMW’s three-liter N53 crackerjack, which is good here for 230 hp and 200 lb-ft of torque. That’s routed through an automatic transmission (this car predated the DCT) and to all four wheels via a quiet, uncluttered fully automatic AWD system. That system could have added an extra knot for powertrain replacement since the front axle goes through the oil pan of the six cylinders on these cars.

Visually, the car looks pretty good for its age and range. Well, from most angles, at least. The rear bumper is pepper-shaped and wavy, probably from a lifetime of street parking. The wheels are a Style 119 which I think is from the earlier E46, but they look good here.

Inside, there’s Terra leather and plenty of warm wood accents. The driver’s seat has loose seams and wear on the pads, but all other seat surfaces look fine, should be cleaned. Things are similarly neat in the engine bay, where there’s no evidence that the engine hasn’t evolved there.

According to the seller, the vehicle has a clear title and they provide a VIN for interested parties to run a CarFax report. If that’s not the case, those potential customers will line up next to consider the car’s $3,500 asking price. According to the ad, for another $2k, buyers will get the M3 kibble and bit collection, which includes wheels, bumpers, and skirts. I’d say, let the seller keep those.

As for the car itself, what do you say about its prospects at that $3,500 price tag? That sounds like a deal for this heart transplant coupe? Or, do replacement parts and overall mileage make that too expensive to drop?

You decide!
