Consider the flight below from Austin to Maui on American Airlines. You can spend a week exploring the beaches, snorkeling, and hiking to waterfalls for as little as $316. Note that transit times at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) are on the shorter end of the spectrum. If you’re worried about connecting so quickly or think you’ll need assistance, choose a flight with a longer transit time.
This rate applies to basic economy class seats, including one free carry-on baggage. You will pay $60 to inspect a bag. If you want to choose your seat or change your flight for free, upgrade to a main class ticket. Even with the upgrade, the flight is still a good deal.
As you can see below, the return fare is $316, which is about half the regular price.
