Fisker is taking pre-orders for the $29,900 Ohio-made Pear Urban EV, it hasn’t shown up yet
Fisker on Tuesday announced that it is accepting pre-orders for its Pear electric vehicle, although it hasn’t actually shown the vehicle yet.
The company says this five-passenger “agile urban EV” will start at $29,900, with deliveries expected to begin in 2024. Customers can pay $250 right now. for one reservation and $100 for each additional reservation, Fisker said in a press release.
Fisker is cooperate with Foxconn to produce Le. The original companies have been focusing on an inefficient base for a long time in Wisconsinwas originally built by a contract manufacturer of iPhones to make LED displays.

But when Lordstown Motors ran into financial trouble, Foxconn steps in to buy that company’s former General Motors plant and act as a contract manufacturer for the Lordstown Endurance pickup truck, as well as pears. Fisker said the Ohio plant – which built the last Chevrolet Cruze compact – will have “minimum initial production” of 250,000 units per year.
Meanwhile, Fisker’s first production model – the $37,499 Ocean all-electric crossover SUV – is scheduled to begin production in November 2022. at Magna’s premises in Austria. First shown in production form late last year, the Ocean will also use a platform derived from Magna, after Volkswagen’s plans to use the MEB platform fell through.
Ocean and pears will receive the interface from Sharp, now part of Foxconn. But Foxconn’s Pear contract manufacturing deal shows that the company is serious about building entire cars, not just the accompanying electronics.
