It’s been an absolute pleasure for us to see our No Man’s Sky PlayStation community embrace their inner space pirates and prove their worthiness in the space wars as they join The Blight. as part of last month’s Outlaws exploration and update. Today, we are pleased to introduce our 7th expedition – Leviathan. And this one is a little different
Survival is front and center in Expedition 7 as the Traveler is challenged to escape a mysterious time loop curse. Even Nada and Polo don’t know the cause of this time anomaly, but all the clues point to a connection to a great space being, The Leviathan.
Unlike previous expeditions, and in roguelike style, death never seems to be that far away. With each death, some individual progress is reset, but each effort counts toward Expert Polo’s research into time loops and bringing deliverance closer than ever.
Furthermore, each incarnation offers another opportunity to contribute to Polo’s effort with a procedurally generated loadout, the quality of which increases as the community effort builds.
Will the collective power of No Man’s Sky Travelers succeed in helping Polo restore space-time balance, lift the curse, and restore peace with Leviathan?
We like to think that No Man’s Sky expeditions are particularly generous in terms of their rewards, and the Leviathan expedition was no exception. A Whalestalker Cloak, a small Organic Destroyer for your base, and a Temporary Star Trail to name but a few other knick-knacks you can pick up along the way. And the ultimate reward for your efforts? An inspirational organic frigate to add to your fleet of frigates.
We’re really excited to put this expedition together and are excited at the prospect of thousands of PlayStation Travelers working as an intergalactic team to free themselves from the continuum…even if they must die. so many times to achieve it!
The Leviathan expedition begins today and will last about six weeks. Our journey continues.
