Final Fantasy V pixel remake is out now
Square Enix continues to put out pixelated remakes of the Final Fantasy series. FFI through IV have all been out in the past year, with IVs due to land again in September. Now, Final Fantasy V has joined the group, allowing you to play classic RPGs with more realistic artwork. compared to previously disparaged mobile gateways.
Here’s the trailer, showing its sharp, alias lines. Ooh:
Final Fantasy V is about a boy and his chocobo who set out to save the world after several crystals are knocked out of alignment. It was previously available on PC, but only through a mobile port that has been algorithmically re-installed. This new version retains the original look when running on modern screens.
When Brendy and Katharine Ranked The best Final Fantasy game, FFV does not put inside cover 9. Is this a crime? I’ll let you act as judge and jury in the comments section.
So far, most of the ports have been well received, with the exception of fonts and Fans have set about fixing those things.
You can take FFV from Steam for £10.39 / €14.39 with 20% off at launch. It is also available as part of the FFI-VI package, with VI “coming soon”.
