The Final Fantasy Pixel Remasters will be released in the spring of 2023, which means a collection of classic Final Fantasy titles should pointed around the corner. We don’t have a specific date yet, and it doesn’t look like Square Enix is ready to reveal it either—except for pre-orders that have already begun to charge.
end ResetEra (through square push), AlexFlame116 shared an email it received from Square Enix after the company said it would start accepting payments for the 35th Anniversary Edition from April 5. Others are based in Europe. said it received a similar email, but those payments will begin processing March 31.

“We’re not quite ready to reveal the launch date of the Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster series on consoles, (currently listed as of May 31st), but we can tell you it coming very quickly.”
So the question is, if Square Enix charges for limited editions from March 31st or April 5th (depending on region), then Right be early, right? So when will we find out? According to one user, PlayAsia previously had the PS4 date listed as May 20 (before canceling physical PS4 orders), but Square Enix has remained tight-lipped about the actual date.
The game’s digital release — included Final Fantasy I, II, III (from the NES), IV, DRAWAnd BECAUSE (from the SNES) — not yet on the storefront, but we’ve been a month into the spring of 2023. It’s only a matter of time. But to be fair, everything around the pre-order situation with the Pixel Remaster is a bit odd.
Pre-orders for the Standard and Collector Editions, which are exclusive to the Square Enix Store, dropped at midnight North American time and very soon European time. The Standard Edition sold out almost immediately, and the Collector’s Edition proved to be a bit pricey. There have been one or two replenishments since then, but without warning.
