The Food and Drug Administration on Tuesday expanded its authorization for the monkeypox vaccine in a way that would significantly boost limited supplies of the vaccine.
The FDA will allow healthcare providers to administer injections via intradermal injection, which will increase drug delivery by fivefold. The United States has been struggling to meet vaccination demand as monkeypox outbreaks continue to grow.
