Fawn Lopez, longtime publisher/VP of Modern Healthcare, has announced that she will be retiring as of January 1, 2023.
Lopez joined Modern Healthcare as an associate publisher in October 2001 and was appointed publisher and vice president in May 2005. For over 17 years leading Modern Healthcare, a Crain brand Communications, Lopez navigates a changing media landscape, challenging economic conditions, and significant changes within the healthcare industry. All in all, Modern Healthcare remains one of Crain’s premier brands and an authoritative source of news, analysis and thought for industry decision-makers.
During his leadership, Modern Healthcare highlighted the larger challenges facing the industry, including diversity, the need to address health equity, and environmental, social and governance issues.
Prior to joining Modern Healthcare, Lopez served as national advertising director for Crain’s Chicago Business for two years.
