Faro, Yukon: Arrest made after reports of shots fired
FARO, YUKON —
Mounties say a “potential suspect” has been recognized and an arrest made after they obtained experiences of pictures being fired in Faro, Yukon.
The RCMP did not say if anybody was injured, however stated the menace has ended.
Police have lifted a shelter in place order however are warning residents to keep away from a number of streets in the neighborhood.
They are saying there’s a important first responder and police presence within the city.
The order to shelter in place was posted on social media about 1 p.m. and was rescinded 90 minutes later.
Faro is a city of about 400 folks positioned a four-hour drive northeast of Whitehorse.
