Fantasy Waiver Wire Week 17: Trey Lance, Boston Scott among top streamers for fantasy championship

Could a midfielder who plays one game all year be able to not only start this game but also lead fantasy teams to a title? Of course it is. Celebrities certainly play an outsized role in deciding who takes home the grand prize in fantasy tournaments, and this year, there are more than a few potential starters, including Trey Lance and Boston Scott, who will be among Top Week 17 Free Shipping and More Free Dealers. More players will be targeted after The waiver will clear around 4-5 a.m. ET on Wednesday mornings during Yahoo and ESPN tournaments.

Ours full free agent list packed with some “normal” pickups, such as Rex Burkhead, Dare Ogunbowale, Jordan Howard, and Isaiah McKenzieand a bunch of potential miracles in a week. Below, we’ll highlight some of the top streamers that should be in most 10-team tournaments and most 12-team tournaments, but if you’re looking for even more viable options, you can find them at the end of this list. If you want to really gild the lily again in 2021, you might as well take a look The ranking of the rockers week 17.

MORE WEEK 17: Full disclaimer list

The final week of the fantasy football season means you won’t have any waiver claims. Normally, we strongly recommend against using a claim on a WR or QB streamer, never mind D/ST or TE, but if that’s what you need, then do what needed to get them. You may also want to use the waiver request against a handcuffed RB who isn’t even guaranteed to begin with. Again, that’s fine. Defend yourself and block your opponents from getting what they need.

Of course, in a week like this, you can’t be on the lookout for everything. Even if you try to block your opponent by grabbing the “best” TE streamer, there may be someone else who is just as good and will have better results. It’s an inexact science, but embrace your swings and hopefully you’ll have a successful home game.

Top fantasy football exemptions for Week 17

Unless otherwise noted, only players who own less than 50% of Yahoo leagues will be considered.

Boston Scott, RB, Eagles (@WFT at Week 17). With Miles Sanders (hands-off) for Week 17 and Jordan Howard (detonator) dealing with injuries on his own, Scott, who scored in Week 16, could be a good fit for a rich Week 17 against Washington. Even when Howard is active, we know Scott can see 10-12 touches and score goals because Philly doesn’t mind letting him make passes. Scott is a must-add policy who can easily become a flexible that makes all the difference.

Trey Lance, QB, 49ers (vs Texas). Jimmy Garoppolo sprained his right thumb last Thursday and is “questionable” – maybe even “doubtful” – for Sunday’s game against the Texans. Lance has managed almost 15 fantasy points in his lone start this year despite not counting any TDs, and when he played the second half of Week 4, he posted more than 20 points (although one small part of which is in garbage time). Either way, his quick dash gives him a high floor and high ceilings, and in a favorable game against Houston, Lance could prove to be a tournament champion.

MORE WEEK 17: Full disclaimer list

Marquez Valdes-Scantling, WR, Packers (vs Vikings). MVS is known as a boom or bust WR3, but assuming he’s off the reserve/COVID roster, he’s more likely to “boom” in Week 17 against a Viking defence. allowing the most imaginary points for WR. Valdes-Scantling caught 5/7 targets from 98 yards and the last time we saw him on the field, and in Week 11 against Minnesota, he caught 4/10 goals in distance 123 yards and TD.

WEEK 17 STANDARD RATINGS:
Midfielder | Run back | Wide receiver | Tight ending | VND / ST | Kicker

CJ Uzomah, TE, Bengals (vs Chiefs). Uzomah had two monster weeks earlier in the season, but considering he hasn’t had more than 7.6 half-PPR points in a week since blowing up Week 7, he’s not the most reliable. Still, he’s gotten quite a few goals in his way (23 of his past four games), and the Captain entered Week 16 in the top 12 in terms of allowable fantasy points for TEs. It wasn’t Uzomah’s best game, nor was it safest, but if you’re rolling in TE, you could be a lot worse. Foster Moreau (@Colts) is a slightly better stream if Darren Waller (knee) remains absent.

Chicago Bears D/ST (vs Giants). The Bears haven’t had many lessons in a game since Week 4, but the Giants are an offensive disaster, making it eight in the past three games and averaging just 11.5 points. attack in their past six competitions. It’s hard to feel great about the Bears overall, but they’re nearly impossible to miss in this game regardless of who starts in QB for New York.
