Fantasy TE Leaderboard Week 14: Who’s Started, Last Seated in Fantasy Football
The final week of the bye days has been relatively tough with tight finishes, so fantasy football owners will no doubt be looking for one-week broadcasters if they get off to a borderline start with a tough match. We’re here to sort through the problems of difficulty, lack of sleep, and the possibility of tripping up with our Week 14 fantasy TE leaderboard. As always, these can help you decide who to start in this notoriously difficult position.
Miami, New England, Philadelphia and Indianapolis will all be absent this week, and the losses from Mike Gesicki, Hunter Henry and Dallas Goedert can certainly be felt in our standings. Those three guys have clearly started weighing in on a weekly basis – and Jack Doyle has become a reliable streamer pick – but just had enough matching pegs to fill the void.
WEEK 14 STANDARD RANKING:
Midfielder | Run back | Wide receiver | VND / ST | Kicker
Rob Gronkowski (vs. Bills), Kyle Pitts (@Panthers) and TJ Ho Chickenon (@Broncos) are the most notable TEs with tough fights, but unless you have another top guy, you’re not should be on the bench.
WEEK 14 PPR RANKING:
Midfielder | Run back | Wide receiver | Tight ending | VND / ST | Kicker
Among the starting or benching bubble players, we like backup Darren Waller Foster Moreau (@ Chiefs), Gerald Everett (@ Texans), Austin Hooper (vs Ravens) and Evan Engram (@ Chargers) . Of course, they all have different levels of “safety” and different tiers, but they all feature friendly matches against the top 10 TEs, so we’re basing the matches here. Hooper and Engram are particularly risky, as they’ve won top-flight games before.
Many would raise an eyebrow at Everett, but he has drawn more goals (19) than Tyler Locket and only one less than DK Metcalf from Weeks 11-13. Since Houston gave up the sixth most fantasy score per game (FFPG) all the way to the tight finish, he must be considered here.
Tyler Conklin (vs Steelers) and Tyler Higbee (@ Cardinals) have been productive in a number of games this season, but both face top 10 defenses against fantasy TEs, so here we go. think Tyler Bros. is the most suitable for the bench. CJ Uzomah (@49ers) and Josiah Deguara (vs. Bears) are also sometimes hot names in the sleeper category, but the matches aren’t for them either.
In the end, it was another simple week. Trust the matchmakers and play your nails. There aren’t many “sures” in TE, which is why we usually default to the target trend and match count.
Note: We’ll be updating these TE leaderboards throughout the week, so check back for the latest player movement and analysis.
