Inflexion Games, the new studio of former BioWare general manager Aaryn Flynn, announced their debut game during The Game Awards. Nightingale is a “shared world survival crafting game” set in a Victorian gaslamp fantasy world that will take us into magical realms to explore, farm and community building, crafting tools and weapons, etc. to fight against Fae. “Nightingale takes players on a journey of Realmwalker, where they must survive a multitude of increasingly dangerous kingdoms,” said today’s announcement. “Explore alone or in a group with other survivors, gather precious materials to build settlements, and craft vital tools and weapons as you battle against dead monsters humans and Fae, the magical opponents of humanity.”
Inflexion Games is part of Random, a middleware company best known for SpatialOS, the server technology that can help enable large and complex multiplayer games with millions of objects.

After working as a programmer at BioWare for many years, Flynn became general manager from Dragon Age II through Mass Effect 3, Dragon Age: Inquisition and Mass Effect: Andromeda. He left BioWare in 2017 and was replaced by GM Casey Hudson returns.
