Everything seasoning bagel recipe – A beautiful message

Everything Bagel Seasoning has become super popular in the last few years, and with good reason. It’s flavorful, savory, and really pretty. Although, I’ve seen it used in sweet things also.

You can also purchase Everything Bagel Seasoning, and I’ll link some online resources below. I had a hard time finding this spice mix locally when I learned I had a baking project that I wanted to use.

So while I was at the store staring at the spice shelves, I decided to just make my own Spiced Everything Bread.

I’m planning on using this to add in some early breakfast sandwiches (it’ll make sense later, I swear). But other uses of Everything Bagel Seasoning include: toppings for hamburgers or hot dogs, toppings on homemade bread, avocado toast, inside (or outside) a grilled cheese sandwich, and of course… above everything bagels.

It’s easier to make large amounts of Bagel Seasoning from standard sized ingredient containers, so unless you can buy things from the bin (and therefore buy small quantities), you would probably have a large amount of this on hand.

If you like, pack some and share with your mom or friends who love to cook. This recipe will also make a fun homemade gift or part of a larger gift for a foodie friend.

Everything Bagel Spices made of?

Dry onion, dried garlic, poppy seed, Sesame seeds, peeling sea saltand black pepper. If you make your own, you can also make substitutions or heavily or lightly make the ingredients you want.

After mixing all the ingredients together, you can reuse and refill a larger container or spice it up in a new glass container (especially if you’re giving a gift).

I made a small funnel out of parchment (you can too buy one) to easily refill my jars without making a huge mess.

The following is spice jars I’ve used. And if you want to buy Everything Bagel Spices, here is a selection from Amazon and a from Target. so so. Emma

  1. Place all ingredients in a small mixing bowl.

  3. Store in a resealable container (with a lid or with a lid).

Measurements may vary slightly. For example, if the container of poppy seeds you purchased says it is 2.3 ounces (more than the 2 ounces I listed above), you can still use the entire container for this mixed recipe. The measurements here can be thought of as ratios. You can also change this option based on your preferences.
