As you can see from the marked routes, there are many routes from the New York City area to many cities included. For example, you can escape the cold of the Northeast and book a round-trip flight from JFK to PBI in early February for $138 on Delta.

As often happens with flight deals, you’ll likely find the cheapest price on the carrier’s most restrictive fare, in this case Delta’s basic economy class. For this particular fare, passengers get one large carry-on bag free of charge, but they will have to pay $60 for a checked bag. They will also be in the last boarding class and have a random seat.
If you book this offer on JetBlue or United, be aware that their basic economy class does not include large hand baggage while basic economy class on American Airlines and Delta does. You’ll pay between $25 and $45 round-trip to upgrade to a higher fare class, and $30-$35 each way to check in baggage on all airlines.
