Endwalker’s first major patch, 6.1, is coming in April
Thanks to another manufacturer’s letterhead presentation, we know the timeline
Everyone has been waiting Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalkerwas the first major patch, and now the release window is confirmed: mid-April. News comes from another nearly three-hour “Manufacturer Direct Correspondence,” which is now a huge LXIX problem.
Here are the main points about EndwalkerFirst major patch of:
- New main story quest (will seed a new journey)
- Added monster tribe quest
- Crystalline Conflict, a PVP mode
- One Last Challenge (Dragonsong’s Reprise)
- Ultima’s Bane isn’t real
- More work tuning (more details in upcoming mail)
- Myths of the Realm alliance raid (24 people)
- Hildibrand will return in 6.15 (later 6.1 mid lane)
- Tataru people focused side quests
- House in Ishgardian
- More tweaks to the Trust system, including old dungeons
As usual, there’s a lot to unpack. In case you are not familiar with how Final Fantasy XIV handle patches, generally “major” numbered updates (6.1, 6.2) every few months (currently due to recent change, “every four months”) and drop a ton of tools at once. The team makes an effort to spread the love to both casual and heavy players, and that’s just what’s happening with patch 6.1.
The biggest examples include Myths of the Realm: a 24-man casual raid in which a lot of people can play sloppily but still enjoy the content and look for loot opportunities. Then there’s one final challenge, Dragonsong’s Reprise, which can only be completed with a highly dedicated team.
Something for everyone!
