Arsenal midfielder Mohamed Elneny has said he wants to extend his contract with the London team despite the Egypt international making only 12 appearances this season.

“If Arsenal say, ‘We want you,’ I don’t think about leaving,” Elneny told British media. “It was my family for six years. I love this club.

“I like a challenge and give 100% all the time. I don’t decide who will play but I keep training to show how good I am and let him (coach Mikel Arteta) play with me.

“If I don’t play, I’ll keep going until I get the chance.”

Arsenal are 4th in the table with 5 matches remaining. It plays at West Ham United on Sunday.
