Electric powerhouse Cadillac Celestiq, EV driver calm, automaker side by side with EPA: Car News Today


Ford, VW, BMW, Honda and Volvo are backing the California emissions regulator as a group of mostly southern states challenge the EPA’s decision. Cadillac previewed a flagship luxury EV. And will electric cars create less stress for drivers? This and more, here at Green Car Report.

As GM’s Cadillac luxury brand transitions to all-electricity later this decade, the company is developing a new electric flagship for the range, called the Celestiq. In image of the Cadillac Celestiq car show Unveiled on Wednesday, it teased a few design details — and it’s nice to see it doesn’t become just another rugged crossover.

A coalition of 17 states and other interests joined forces earlier this spring to oppose the EPA’s decision to authorize the California Clean Air Act and protest more against pollution – with the believe it will reduce car prices. The current Five automakers have partnered with EPA.

Survey results conducted by Stellantis brand DS Automobiles show that Drivers of electric and hybrid vehicles are less stressed behind the wheel compared to the driver of a gasoline or diesel vehicle. And the quieter and more refined elegance created by the electric motor is a big part of it.
