Easy Broccoli Salad – A Beautiful Message

Broccoli is probably my favorite vegetable. I like it! And most of the time, I prepare it in two ways: either this easy broccoli salad or broccoli (sometimes with cheese!).

This broccoli salad is crispy, creamy, and flavorful. Yum! This is a great side dish to go with whatever you’re making for dinner, whether it’s steak or frozen pizza. This is an easy salad recipe to have on hand, plus it’s SUPER simple.

This easy broccoli salad has just three ingredients, plus a creamy dressing. However, I’ll also share other ingredients you can add to change this up or match a flavor your family might love even more.

Broccoli Salad = broccoli + dried cranberries + sliced almonds (all well mixed with sauce).

Other ingredients you may want to add:

  • Bacon or bacon
  • Sunflower seeds
  • Chopped bell pepper
  • Cheddar cheese, chopped
  • Pepperoni, sliced (or mini pepperoni)
  • Dried berries, like cranberries
  • Hard-boiled eggs, chopped

There are tons of ways to customize this easy-to-make broccoli salad, or you can simplify it – that’s what I usually do.

Other salads you might like:

This easy broccoli salad has about 6 cups of broccoli (pictured here). These are two large heads of broccoli, or about 600 grams.

Broccoli salad ingredients include: mayo, apple cider vinegar, honey, dijon mustard, finely chopped red onion, cayenne pepper, along with salt and pepper. Homely!

How long does broccoli salad keep in the fridge?

At least 2-3 days and maybe more. Keep in mind that the longer broccoli salad is left in the fridge, even covered well, the creamy sauce will soak into the salad, making the texture softer and it can become mushy over time. So I recommend eating this broccoli salad within a day or two of making it.

Can you freeze broccoli salad?

I would not recommend this. It’s better if you make the sauce ahead of time, and even shred the broccoli.
