Former employees of The Dr. Phil show is accusing the personality media of creating a toxic work environment.

The staff members accused senior staff of insulting them on set, and they also said that guests were abused on the show. The investigation was led by a Buzzfeed reporter who was also behind the investigation on The Ellen Show.

The report said five employees accused senior producers of teasing guests on the show, especially people of color, “imitating the way Black and Latino guests speak”. The workers also said show producers discourage bookings of people who look “like a trash can on a trailer,” but prefer a more middle-class look and discourage bookings for people of color. .
