California and New York: It is important to humanity that you pursue your entire green energy plan to completion as soon as possible and at all costs. If you truly believe, as you have stated, that renewable energy is purely a moral necessity to save the planet from the existential crisis of climate change; if you really believe that energy derived from fossil fuels is dangerous and polluting and is causing dangerous climate change; if you really believe that renewable energy is now less expensive than fossil fuel energy; if you really believe that a fully renewable energy system can actually work to power a modern economy; and if you really believe that all it takes to move towards a fully renewable future is to build enough wind and solar generators to do the job – then you absolutely must. this project to the end and without delay.
Now is not the time to go wild. You owe it to the world to show everyone how this can be done. This is your moral duty.
The context of this call is that, of the four jurisdictions around the world that are at the forefront of promoting 100% green energy – California, New York, UK and Germany – two of which – the UK and Germany – are give a strong signal that they are ready to cry out “Uncle!” and backtracking on plans.
Worse still, Britain and Germany are backing down at the earliest signs of facing serious even modest challenges to the achievement of their utopian goals. Skeptics of green energy programs have long warned that the consequences of increased renewable energy penetration on the grid will likely include grid instability, frequent blackouts, and more. frequent and prolonged, energy allocation and consumer cost spikes can be as much as 5 or 10 times or even more. electricity costs from the system mainly using fossil fuels. England and Germany have so far only had a taste of it. I certainly cannot represent that Ms Truss’ ascension to the throne means that the UK has immediately transitioned to completely sane policies of climate realism. For one thing, she immediately logged in with a massive subsidy scheme to transfer money to utility companies to reduce consumer energy costs for the coming winter. So, presumably, this winter’s average consumer bill will end up being less than previously forecast (at big tax expense). In addition, Mr. Rees-Mogg’s actual policies while in office remain to be considered (remember Boris Johnson made a lot of noise as a climate skeptic before becoming Prime Minister). And the Net Zero goal is still enshrined in statute, which will have to be changed before a serious rollback of destructive energy policies can go very far.
But in the meantime, the fact that the consequences of green policies were taking place before the serious crisis hit fully opened the door for enthusiasts to promote the narrative that the green revolution will be successful. public if it is given a chance. That happens by renewable energy. ‘
The Daily Mail also quotes Deben as advising the new Prime Minister that “fracking approval will have no impact on energy prices”- thus echoing Barack Obama’s mockery of Sarah Palin, when he said in May 2011 that “We can’t just find a way out of the problem” on high energy prices, the words uttered on the eve of the subsequent fracking revolution cut oil and gas prices by about half over the course of the next few years.
Germany also appears to be being affected by the mere threat of soaring energy costs as it reopens closed coal power plants and even leaves the country’s remaining nuclear plants unchanged. For example, the word Bloomberg, Aug. 11:

When the journey gets a little rough, these meek Europeans simply pack up their tents and go home to their mothers.
So it’s all up to you, California and New York. Are you courageous in your beliefs?

ISO basically tells New York’s climate planners they’re full of crap, but of course ISOs are political creatures, so they can’t say it in those terms . But realizing that wind and solar really couldn’t do the job without something replaceable as a backup, they came up with the catchy acronym “DEFR” (Free Resources). fee is adjustable).
