Dog hailed as a hero after saving her family from carbon monoxide poisoning


A husky/coonhound mix named Roxy is a hero who saved her family from carbon monoxide poisoning.

A family living in Ankeny, Iowa, was fast asleep when their carbon monoxide detector went off, but Roxy heard the alarm and immediately alerted her sleeping family.

The gentle dog started hopping up and down the bed and eventually woke its dad, Brad Harbert.

He said he knew something was wrong when Roxy woke him up in the middle of the night and that’s when he heard the alarm.
