Detailed styling of Lexus LX 2022

If you’re one of the unlucky few to be bogged down by Toyota LandCruiser 300 Series order delays – there might be a quicker alternative.

Lexus has just announced pricing and specifications for the Lexus LX 2022 range and although it is more expensive LandCruiserit creates a quicker and more luxurious ownership path into the large all-wheel drive platform.

We had the opportunity to get up close and personal with the new Lexus LX in the Ultra Luxury four-seat configuration to see if it’s worth your money

One of the first things you notice on the outside is how different the LX looks from the LandCruiser with which it shares the platform. Lexus has followed a much more luxurious curve with a focus on detail.

The other big difference here with the diesel-only LandCruiser is that the LX will be available with a turbocharged six-cylinder petrol engine alongside a V6 diesel from LandCruiser.

Inside the cabin, Lexus has also ditched the not-so-great LandCruiser infotainment system and replaced it with a new Lexus unit.

Ultra Luxury is just that – extreme luxury. This variant gets its own wood grain trim and diamond-stitched seats – along with the most luxurious four-seat arrangement.

Inside the cabin is great – the lavish four-seat configuration includes massage, heating and cooling functions for all four seats. It also comes with screens that attach to the backs of the front seats for extra entertainment.

The rear left passenger seat can also be reclined by moving the front passenger seat almost completely.

It’s a pretty impressive beast and we can’t wait to get behind the wheel in the coming weeks.
