Is Austin Ekeler on the COVID list?

Ekeler was said to have been placed on the reserve/COVID list on Monday, but according to the NFL’s official trading wire, he’s not on the Charger team on the list. NBC Sports Edge wrote: “The team’s top beat authors have said that Ekeler will be put on the COVID list. It could also be a no-show test or something. We’ll know more within the next 24 hours. It’s a bit confusing, but we assume he’ll eventually need to be on the list and will have to remove the COVID protocols.

Going into the game against Houston, Ekeler will be in a position to be the RB1 overall, but if he can’t go, Justin Jackson could certainly end up in the RB1 switch facing the fifth-worst defense against RB imaginary. Currently, we have Ekeler as RB2 in standard and PPR . Tournament. Jackson will rank among the worst high-end RB2s, and Joshua Kelley will be worth the potential versatility.

Elijah Mitchell injury update

Michell (knee) has completed concussion surgery but is still dealing with a nagging knee injury. Kyle Shanahan has said that he is not optimistic about Mitchell’s chances of playing in Week 16 on Thursday night, so we will have to monitor this closely. Last week, Jeff Wilson Jr made 21 carry for 110 yards and a touchdown in a great game against the Falcons. In Wilson’s two previous starts, he was both quiet and ineffective. Since Tennessee has a #2 defense against fictional RBs, it’s hard to think he’ll have much success. Just last week, the Titans held off Najee Harris for just 26 yards after 14 touchdowns.

Tennessee’s Seventh Front is a lot stronger than the Second, so this is more of a Deebo Samuel-Brandon Aiyuk-George Kittle game than a balance game. For those reasons, Mitchell would only be a low-level RB2 if he played at RB27 in standard and PPR . Tournament, while Wilson is considered more flexible without a safety floor.

WEEK 16 STANDARD RATINGS:

Damien Harris Injury Update

Harris (hamstring) was limited the whole of last week, but it looks like he was close to being called up to play against the Colts. He was ultimately ruled out, but he had a good chance of returning to the Pats’ backyard in Week 16 against Buffalo. Obviously, we’ll have to stay tuned for the official word, but he’s more likely to play than he’s to miss more time.

Buffalo was once a worrisome matchup for the RBs, but Harris, Leonard Fournette and Jonathan Taylor are some of the names that come to mind who have weathered long streaks and fantasies against it. At this point, The Bills is pretty much a neutral match, but we’re still concerned about Harris. It’s hard to see him fully back in the backyard of Rhamondre Stevenson, especially if he’s limited to any degree. That said, we rank him as RB34 in standard and PPR . Tournament. However, he always has a chance to end up in the RB1 range thanks to his touchdown equity.

Kareem Hunt injury update

Hunt (ankle, reserve/COVID roster) is facing two things that could complicate his Week 16 status, and since he’s not in the Browns’ building right now, it’s difficult to get an assessment of his ankle injury. For now, we know how the COVID protocols work, but we’ll have to keep watching.

In the end, we think his ceiling is lower than usual, even when he’s playing against Green Bay. He’s far from healthy, and Nick Chubb has been fresh and productive lately. If Hunt is absent, obviously Chubb will take on the entire workload, so we’re not interested in D’Ernest Johnson. If Hunt is up and running, consider him as a versatile midweight pick in PPR tournaments, but again, his floor and ceiling seem lower than we would normally expect and Green Bay is the place to be. defend the top 12 against the fictional RB.

D’Andre Swift Injury Update

Swift (as) hasn’t been in a game or practice since being beaten on Thanksgiving, and it’s likely we’ve seen his last on this field this season. Since he hasn’t been included in the IR, that’s clearly unofficial, but given the Lion’s apparent contention, you wonder if the Lion is even thinking about shutting him down. If he stays out, we have a tough backyard to get rid of. On the other hand, Craig Reynolds showed up and played good football, but Jamaal Williams (sub/COVID roster) will be back for Week 16 against Atlanta.

Last week, Lions coach Dan Campbell expressed some optimism about Swift’s potential return and right now, he’s ranked as RB21 in standard and PPR . Tournament for a favorable match against Atlanta. If he were out and Jamaal Williams, who was finally off the bench/COVID, started, we would assume he would act as the main defender, but Reynolds would also get some work. Williams should be seen as a low-end RB2 in that case, but Reynolds could have some versatile values. It should be noted that Jared Goff is on the reserve/COVID list, and laugh if you want, but his absence could reduce the entire offense. Overall, it was a tough situation to deal with at the start of the week.
