Many Delawares aged 60 and over live alone, unable to afford their own purchases and living on a fixed income. To support this population, Casino & Racing in Delaware Park recently made donation boxes available in their facility to collect unused gift certificates from their guests.
During June and July, Delaware Park charity guests contributed a total of $10,000 to the Wheels Delaware Meal.

The mission of Meals on Wheels Delaware (MOWD) is to raise funds, other resources and awareness to support meal distribution programs for seniors at home in Delaware. MOWD supports five meal delivery programs/locations across the state. In 2021, 898,509 hot and nutritious meals were delivered to more than 6,600 seniors statewide with the help of more than 1,000 volunteers.
