The UK area of Cornwall is truly stunning and colorful. But on my recent days there, it is often shrouded in clouds of myth, time and history associated with the British Isles.

My brief time there shooting gave me, in post-production of everything, the opportunity to dig deeper into the subject. Take one skills and view in monochrome.

I’m no expert in post-production, but I’m absolutely delighted with the learning curve and possibilities of Take one. I can push and pull color channels in the B&W range, emphasizing and de-emphasizing certain tonal layers. I am using the Magic Brush to adjust the vast sky and sea. And of course by using the straighten tool (or not) to adjust the horizon.

It was invigorating, momentarily at sea, with the clouds and the breeze. And fishing for a living. Advice for John Trewin and his son, Jaimie. Knowledgeable, hard-working, and clearly loves the sea, and the sheer cliffs of Cornwall plunge to catch it. Many thanks to them for engaging with a thorough host.

This week, go the opposite direction and head to NYC to Christmas Light Workshop with Liza Politi and Ari Espay. This week looks for vibrations and colors. And this week, big achievements for Capture One, as they quote on home page. Keep stable.
