Cynthia Bailey Reveals “The Last Straw” That Led to Mike Hill’s Divorce


Cynthia Bailey and Mike Hill confirmed their split through joint and personal statements to the press in mid-October. The announcement comes just a day after footage emerged of Mike playing a columnist woman for a woman. However, the video has nothing to do with their split. In his statement to EVERYONE, Mike said they used to “Thinking about going [their] separate ways over the past few months. ”

Almost three weeks later, Cynthia opened up about the “final straw” that led her and Mike down the path to divorce. She featured her on Monday’s podcast episode Two Ts In A Pod, Hosted by Teddi Mellencamp and Tamra Judge.

“I feel like we’re not friends anymore,” says Cynthia. “I feel as if we wouldn’t be friends if we didn’t brake.”

Cynthia & Mike emphasized their friendship in the midst of a split

Friendship became a hot topic for Cynthia and Mike as they were talking about their breakup. The former couple first emphasized their friendship in an October 12 joint statement with EVERYONE.

“Love is a beautiful thing. Although we both will always love each other, we have decided to go our separate ways. No one is to blame, we are grateful that we are still there. are good friends,” said Cynthia and Mike in a statement.

About two years after her divorce from Peter Thomas, Cynthia and Mike became emotionally attached. Fourteen months later, Mike asked the question, and they held a lavish wedding in Georgia in 2020. But within two years of their marriage, their flame was extinguished. During an appearance on this week’s podcast, Cynthia said she relied on her previous marriage experience to decide on Mike.

“This is not my first game. I think friendship only needs to be in a marriage. Like, love is great, but friendship is a must. I really wanted to be with my best friend,” Cynthia said.

Though in the end, Cynthia stated in her statement earlier this month that Mike was destined to come in her life. And like him, she “Thank you very much for [their] continue friendship. ”

Cynthia believes that there is no regret between them about the split

Although before The Real Housewives of Atlanta the star knows she wants a bae bestie, her certainty doesn’t take away from her daily struggles. She told the podcast hosts that she had “good days and bad days” as they worked to finalize the divorce proceedings.

“I don’t think any of us regret our decision to move forward the way we decided to move forward,” she said. “It is not yet the final. We’re still continuing this process, so we’re still technically married. For me, there’s still so much respect left in the end that I still feel like he’s my husband.”

While she may not regret it, Cynthia says the process is “weird.” There was no response to the podcast episode from Mike on Wednesday, but she insists they are in “good condition”.
