At Anime Expo 2022, Trigger Inc. introduced animation opening for its upcoming show Cyberpunk: Edgerunners. It is available on the Netflix YouTube account. This is not a creditless video, which means you’ll see all the staff who worked on the show during the opening. The song is “This fffire“By Franz Ferdinand.
Cyberpunk: Edgerunners is an anime that takes place in Cyberpunk 2077 The universe. Studio Trigger first announced it in June 2022together with a Summary what to expect from it. Cyberpunk: Edgerunners will be a standalone story and you won’t need to play Cyberpunk 2077 to understand it. The opening part features the main character David, whose background includes the psychedelic colors that often appear in Imaishi’s works.
The story of Cyberpunk: Edgerunners follows David, a mercenary turned Streetkid, in the Night City. In a world centered around technology and body modification, he manages to survive among a variety of politics. Along with him is Lucy, who also has her own physical booster.
