Curry, Warriors win fourth title in eight years

Everything is just gold in the Bay Area.

The Golden Empire Warriors handle their championship business once again, eliminating Boston Celtics in six games and won the fourth NBA title in the last eight years 103-90 win on Thursday night.

Game 6 quickly evolved into Steph curry show up to the third quarter.

Boston showed up on a mission, taking a 14-2 lead at 8:03 of the first quarter. But after cutting the deficit to 22-16, GS used an 11-0 pace to take a 27-22 lead into the second inning, and opened that bracket with a 10-0 run to the advantage. 37-22, eventually leading to a 54-39 lead for the Warriors in the half.

Then Curry happened.

“Chef” hit three Curry-like threes in the frame, including a nearly 30-footer at 6:15 to give Golden State a 72-50 lead.

Curry finished the game with 34 points, seven rebounds and seven assists, as well as the Finals MVP title so much of the media assumed he desperately needed to carve his name along with those with performances. the best of the game.

“I’m so proud of our team,” Curry cried after the game. “At the start of the season nobody thought we would be here and expect everyone on this pitch right now.

“Very weird.”

With the win, GS is once again rewriting NBA history from a franchise, player, and coach perspective.

Curry, Klay Thompson, Draymond Green and Andre Iguodala won a fourth NBA championship, participating in LeBron James is the only active player with four rings.

“We found a way to get the job done,” Curry said after the Warriors accepted the trophy and celebrated on the field. “It’s part of our championship pedigree, our experience. …We’ve been building this for 10-11 years. It means a lot when you get to this stage.”

Steve Kerr won his fourth title as head coach and ninth overall. He has won five titles as a player with Chicago Bulls (3) and San Antonio Spurs (2).

Furthermore, the Warriors became the first team in NBA history from having the worst record in the NBA to winning the NBA championship in a span of three seasons or less, after Golden State finished 15-50. (.231) during the 2019-20 season amid numerous injuries.

Furthermore, the Warriors now have seven titles in franchise history, moving into the third-most single-ownership of all time. Only Los Angeles Lakers (17) and the Celtics (17) have more than that.

On the other hand, Jayson Tatum’s making his first appearance in the Finals was memorable for the wrong reasons.

Tatum’s offense is frequently muffled by Andrew Wiggins (18 points) in game 6, ending the night with 13 points in shoot 6 to 18.

Overall, Tatum shot from long range only 36.7% in the Finals.

A frightening proposition for the rest of the league is the lack of Golden State at its peak in the Finals and throughout the knockouts. Thompson has played in just 32 regular-season games after missing two full seasons to recover from a torn ACL and torn Achilles.

In addition, the second pick in the 2020 NBA Draft, big man James Wiseman, missed the entire 2021-22 season because of a meniscus injury.

Add that to the fact that Wiggins and Jordan Poole (15 points) will probably return next season, and rookies Jonathan Kuminga and Moses Moody will enter its second season, and Golden State will certainly be in favor to win it all back next year.
