Cristiano Ronaldo leaves Manchester United amid controversy
After a few stressful days, cristiano ronaldo and Manchester United have officially gone their separate ways.
The Premier League team announced on November 22 that the 37-year-old footballer will leave the club “by mutual agreement, effective immediately.”
“The club thanks him for his enormous contributions during his two spells at Old Trafford, scoring 145 goals in 346 appearances, and wishes him and his family all the best for the future, The team’s statement, posted on their website, continued. “Everyone at Manchester United remains focused on continuing the progress of the lower team Erik ten Hag and work together to deliver success on the pitch.”
This update comes just days after Ronaldo – who returned to Manchester United in 2021 on a two-year contract and months left on his contract – announced that he had been forced out of the team, saying Morgan Pier in a fiery interview on TalkTV last week that he feels “betrayed” by the club.
