In Brisbane, Australia, David, and his family had a fun afternoon with some friends in an open area. Alexander, their 2-year-old son, is said to be playing with Leala, the family Staffordshire Bull Terrier.
But no one noticed as the young man disappeared from view. The 9-year-old dog started tugging at David, but the man didn’t think there was anything wrong.

When David pointed out that Leala was soaking wet and barked at him, she began to bark even more erratically. The man who followed the alarmed dog all the way to the nearest dam, did not realize his son was missing. David’s life was shattered when he first noticed his son’s lifeless body submerged in water. After an apparent drowning, Alexander was out of breath and Leala apparently tried to help him herself. The father and his friends performed CPR on the boy a few minutes later, and as a result, the boy started breathing again.

Alexander was in a coma at the hospital for two days. His vital signs have stabilized, but he has suffered significant brain damage. Doctors are increasingly frustrated as hopes dwindle and prepare parents for the worst – that Alexander will die or become severely disabled. After 48 hours of anxiety in a coma, Alexander awoke. As Alexander’s treatment progressed over the next few months, medical professionals were astounded by the end results – he not only survived, but made a full recovery!

Doctors attribute Alexander’s survival to timely CPR, but David is sure it’s all down to his faithful dog. The end would be death if the alert angel didn’t warn him in time. Leala is a true blue hero and we adore her!
For a dog named BoomerLife looks pretty bleak. He was seriously injured and lived on the street. His days were numbered but fortunately he was found just in time while wandering the highway.
But once Boomer is rescued, there are still many challenges ahead. Challenges he will no longer have to face. The rescue organization, Hopalong Animal Rescue, reached out to Thom in the hope that he could raise Boomer. Boomer will need a lot of TLC and Thom is thankfully willing to give him a chance.
When he comes home to Thom, he is very wary of humans. He wasn’t sure what to do when he was in a house. Everything is so foreign to him.

The life on the street and the eye injury was really exhausting him and all he did was sleep for the first few days. Thom never abandoned him.
He would wake up and Thom would change his eye patch and then Boomer would go back to sleep. The poor dog had to take up to ten different drugs that made him even more exhausted.

Thom’s dog Ruby will constantly check on Boomer. She also wants him to be better. Thom is confident that Ruby will help Boomer come out of his shell.
The first time they met, and Boomer was actually awake, he fell in love with Ruby instantly. It’s so lovely!

But Ruby doesn’t really feel that way. She lets Boomer sniff her and then runs away. She spent days keeping her distance, not knowing what to do with this new dog in her home.
Finally, a miracle happened. Boomer went to Ruby with a toy and she actually took the other end of the line. This is a big deal and the beginning of something beautiful!

Ruby and Boomer bond over time playing. They kept playing tug-of-war and running about. Their relationship, which began slowly, only grew stronger.
Before long they were doing everything together. They were sunbathing in the same bed, walking together and hiking side by side. And of course, cuddling.

This friendship gave Boomer the confidence and security he desperately needed. The dog was finally able to let his true personality shine through.
When Thom witnessed this amazing transformation, and Boomer walked away with his head held high, he knew their job was done. Now it’s time for Boomer to find him forever home.
