Darby Dan Farm’s Country house winner of the 2019 Kentucky Derby presented by Woodford Reserve (G1), bred his first reported foal when a foal out of City Zip mare American Values was born on the day January 25 at Scarteen Stud.
Bred by Maury Shields, the foal was the first mares of mares and welcomed from the family of graded stake winners. Exchange of love . American Values’ dam, Curlin N Twirlin (by Curlin ), are half-sisters to the multi-class bet winner Eccentric for love and deposit Missgallopinggulch .
Bred by the late Joseph “Jerry” V. Shields, Country House has made more than $2.1 million while being campaigned by Maury Shields, grandson of Guinness McFadden of the Blackwood Stables, and LNJ Foxwoods. Hall of Famer Bill Mott trained the pony to win his first start at age 3 at Gulfstream Park and followed by the second Preakness Stakes (G1) winner War of Wills in the Resurrection Star Stock presented by Lamarque Ford (G2) at Fair Grounds & Slots.
