Insecure star Issa Rae and her husband Louis are expecting, MTO News has confirmed. The couple got married last June, in Paris.
This came as quite a surprise as Issa told the media last fall that she was “not ready” to be a mother.
The Insecure star, 36, told Self magazine in September that she was “extremely happy” with her life right now and was still not ready to be a mom.
“I’m extremely happy. I like my life, I like this selfishness and I know that I have a window,” said Rae, who was recently married to Louis Diame for a long time. “I’ve always felt that way, that women, especially Black women – unless you’re Viola Davis or Angela Bassett – you have the opportunity to let people keep seeing you and seeing what you can do.”
But MTO News spoke to two people close to Issa, who told us Issa is “very” pregnant. A friend estimates that Issa will be “in 6 to 7 months … and will definitely show up.”
Issa has not released any recent pictures of her belly. But she released a video – from the chest up. And if you look closely, it looks like she’s gained weight – and her belly looks a bit rounder.
