Marc, thanks so much for coming. You have written and thought a lot and reported a lot about the Green New Deal. There is no chance of Congress passing anything like that because no one wants it, but a war we are embroiled in by their policies is a perfect cover to give them. the Green New Deal whether we like it or not.
>> Marc Morano: Yes, that’s right. They put the green new deal in Congress and never scheduled hearings, voting, no town hall, no election service. Nobody wants, they don’t want to vote for it. They don’t need a vote. Biden announced that every cabinet agency would be a climate agency. One of the biggest things about our energy that many people miss is the downturn in our energy industry. Through the banking system, through the SEC. Now they are forcing people to disclose the climate. They now have their claws – the federal regulators – in every aspect of almost any future business should this continue without a congressional vote. That’s what they’re looking for.
And they know that the Green New Deal won’t get through. The Covid lockdown has indeed given them many aspects of the Green New Deal with immediate lockdown, but now in the future they are doubling down, using the Russian invasion.

Looking back in history, the fall of the Roman Republic into an empire was caused by an abuse of emergency powers. So was the concentration of power in the Middle Ages. The German Republic, in 1933, declared 12 years (state of emergency) in Germany, which of course led to all the abuses in Germany.
We now have the Patriot Act, (due to the National Emergency Declaration of 9/11 2001), through the type of crisis management. Now they are using, right after the Covid crisis, they will continue with this. People are not going to voluntarily give up their cars, or SUVs. But now you have reports like the International Energy Agency calling to stop driving cars on Sundays, they want to make odd/even number plates so when you can drive, reduce speed limits, car taxes SUVs. Because we are in this energy crisis. They are achieving policies that they could never achieve through elections.
