Satyajit Mondal, with a score of 13,475, finished ninth in the men’s vault preliminary round. Mondal will be the first reserve for the final, meaning that if any of the top eight are unable to compete in the final, Mondal will replace that gymnast.

Saif Tamboli finished eighth with Australian Tyson Bull in the parallel qualifying round with a score of 14,050. However, as Bull had a higher performance score of 8,650 compared to Tamboli’s 8,250, he qualified for the final while the Indian was kept as first reserve.
