Commonwealth Games 2022 Day 7 Live Updates: Amit Panghal Assured Of Medal, PV Sindhu and Kidambi Srikanth Win

Commonwealth Games, Day 7, Live Update: Boxer Amit Panghal secured India at least a bronze medal with a win over Scotland’s Lennon Mulligan in the men’s flyweight quarterfinals. Three other boxers also participated in the quarterfinals. All are guaranteed medals if they reach the semi-finals. In athletics, Hima Das reached the semi-finals of the women’s 200 m while Manju Bala reached the final of the women’s hammer throw. Shuttlers PV Sindhu and Kidambi won their respective badminton singles Round of 32. The Indian team has so far won 18 medals at the ongoing Commonwealth Games, including five golds. On the seventh day of the ongoing event, stars like Dipika Pallikal (squash) will also participate. Also, the men’s hockey team will face Wales, and it will be crucial in terms of their chances of going through to the semi-finals. After that, Murali Sreeshankar will also attend the men’s long jump final. He was a top medal contender as he qualified for the final with the best jump out of all the competitors in qualifying. In individual events of table tennis, all the top stars compete.
