If you’re going to watch one of those games (or, admittedly, all three, no judgment here), why wouldn’t you be interested in contests?

Here’s everything you need from a betting perspective on matches, from point spreads, money lines, over/under totals and selections from a betting expert (odds through FOX bets):

Two of those games caught the eye of FOX Bet Senior Trader Tieme Wesselink – the Georgia match and the team battle just a few hours’ drive apart. Let’s dive into his odds, logic and, most importantly, his best bets.

Wesselink said the Ducks have an advantage over the defending national champion – new Oregon coach Dan Lanning.

He was Georgia’s defensive coordinator from 2019-21. The Bulldogs set a record by allowing 6.9 points per game in the 2021 season.

“Oregon head coach Dan Lanning used to be the defensive coordinator at Georgia, and I always like those angles at the start of the year, because the Ducks are definitely up for the fight,” Wesselink said. “I like Oregon to keep it close to Georgia. The Bulldogs have lost 15 players to the NFL Draft, which is a huge margin to cover in Week 1 with that kind of revenue.”

For the Irish-Buckeyes Fighting match, Wesslink likes to place points. He recommends backing Ohio State takes precedence even though Notre Dame is on 10-3 to the odds (ATS) in its last 13 games against ranked teams in the regular season.

“In this one, I prefer Buckeyes,” Wesselink said. “CJ Stroudcurrent Heisman lover (+225 at FOX Bet, bet $10 to win $32.50 total), against Notre Dame QB Tyler Buchner. It was a big test for Buchner in his first big start against the second-place Buckeyes in Columbus. “

PICK: Oregon (+17 at FOX Betting) to lose less than 17 points (or win outright)

PICK: Ohio State (-17 at FOX Bet) to win more than 17 points
