It’s a shame that vulnerable democrats haven’t thought of the political problems high gas taxes will cause, when people like them.
I find this interesting, because it demonstrates once again how fragile political commitment to climate action really is. The moment there is any real blowback, the pledge to climate action will disappear and politicians are looking for any solution that can regain some of their crumbling support.
